Hope Scholars After-School

Hope Scholars our after-school program which meets Tuesday-Thursday from 3:30-5:30 PM when Chicago Public Schools is open.

The mission of Hope Scholars is to instill hope in Woodlawn's children by investing in their academic, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

We accomplish this by offering tutoring on homework assignemtns, creating a safe space where long-term relationships with mentors support children’s social-emotional development, and Bible lessons focusing on story of scripture which teaches students the intrinsic value and dignity their lives possess as humans made in God’s image.

Summer camp runs 6 weeks during the months school is not in session. The focuse of summer camp is a safe, structured, and nurturing enviroment for kids on the South Side. This includes tons of activities like games, trips to the park, crafts, sports, and weekly field trips to places like the zoo, the beach, rollar skating, and new neighborhoods in Chicago!
