We worship on Sundays at Ida Noyes Hall, 1212 E 59th at the corner of Woodlawn Ave
We strive to worship God through the redeeming work of His Son, inflamed by Spirit-filled awe and joy, informed with Scripture-filled minds and hearts, with both form and freedom that the gospel creates.
By diverse gifts the Lord has given us, we honor Him with songs, hymns, and spiritual songs both old and new, to express our pleasure in Christ with the treasures of various traditions from which we come. Our worship in this present city is a place of refuge for all types of people who come together in rehearsal here and now to the unshakable future City of God, the place we will one day gather in full number as one redeemed family around God's throne. Living Hope Church is a dim mirror of ever-increasing glory of the multi-ethnic worship of heaven itself.
Our hope and prayers are that God would deepen faith in the hearts of the saints and awaken faith in the hearts of the seekers among us; we confess and respond to the rich truths of the historic Christian faith in ways that will engage modern minds who may not be familiar with a God-centered view of life. Our goal is unity in the faith, speaking the truth in love, as we grow up to maturity in the redeeming grace and knowledge of Christ, who is the Head of the Church and our living hope.
Please plan to arrive between 11:15-11:30am so that we can welcome you and pass on helpful information before worship. You can grab a cup of coffee, fill out a welcome card, pick up a Bible, and literature to introduce you to Living Hope Church.
If you have children, they will join us in worship for the initial songs and prayers, and then just before the sermon, you're invited to send them along with the other children who are 3-8 years old to learn the gospel story during children's church.
One of the expressions of our worship is giving back to God offerings of the financial gifts He's first given to us. We don't want visitors to feel any pressure to give, but we do welcome all who are willing and able to give with cheerful generosity, just as Christ first gave himself for us. If you have any questions about how our offerings support the work of the ministry, we'd be happy to summarize that for you.
